Osteopathy Australia 5
Named by The New York Times as one of the top
destinations to visit in 2015, we’re excited to be
hosting this year’s National Conference on the sandy
white shores of Glenelg in Adelaide. No one-hit
wonder, Adelaide made Lonely Planet’s coveted list
of the top 10 cities to visit in the world in 2014.
The four-day event will be held at the
Stamford Hotel and will boast an exceptional
line-up of national and international speakers,
including Hilary Abbey and Lorraine Nenke from
the British School of Osteopathy. Attendees
will also have the opportunity to gain hands-on
experience in workshops based on the latest
industry research. As well as being a fantastic
opportunity to build your osteopathic knowledge
and gain Continuing Professional Development
points, the conference awards a rare opportunity
to network with fellow osteopaths and celebrate
the successes of our industry.
Outside of conference events, attendees can
explore all that the seaside suburb and vibrant
capital city have to offer. In Glenelg itself there are
countless restaurants where you can sample some
of South Australia’s world-renowned wine and local
by the seA
produce, or for something a little more low-key,
take a sunset stroll along the beach and jetty.
Add a couple of days on either side of the
conference and you can explore the regions of South
Australia more widely. Follow the coastline through
the Eyre, Yorke and Fleurieu peninsulas, or head
inland to marvel at the Flinders ranges. Ranked in
the top four destinations in Australia, you can’t go
past the spectacular Kangaroo Island, which boasts
stunning scenery and a diverse mix of wildlife,
including sea lions and a penguin colony.

The South Australian arm of Osteopathy Australia
raised their glasses to a successful 2014.
Our South Australian members were spoilt for choice at their new year catch up at the
National Wine Centre in Adelaide, which boasts more than 120 different wines. With less
than 50 members it was a cosy, familial event and a great opportunity to take time out after
the Christmas rush to celebrate the year that’s passed and an exciting year ahead.
Education is key to the advancement of our
industry, which is why Osteopathy Australia
is committed to giving our members every
opportunity to develop their professional
skills. With this in mind, we are expanding
our program of free webinars to include a
broader spread of topics and allow for more
contributions from experts in the industry.
These webinars run for one to two hours with
a Q&A session at the end and will cover a range
